![]() You won't have fights like in FTD, that game is centuries ahead of Stormworks in that aspect. I use the mega slopes pack, from its name you can tell what's the mod about, it adds round stuff too, anyways I love the building part of the game but I've found somethings lacking when it comes to shapes and length of beams and I find it really useful for hulls. Stormworks is a simply a vehicle creator with a game world to test your creation (and in my opinion the best game in this genre), but nothing more. Stormworks has also no AI compared to FTD. Stormworks has no damage model compared to FTD and the weapons are way more costomizable in FTD. If you are going for the weapons, FTD is you choise. It allows you to control (automaticly or manuel, doesn't matter) the vehicles more precisely and in the exact way you want them to behave. ![]() That is only a small part of the extra work and it is not something bad that you can do this work yourself. You will have to setup clutches and gearboxes, find the right gear ratios, connect electric networks, perhaps make a controller for your generator (all of that is done for you by FTD automaticly). While you are able to put a quick engine together on raft in FTD, you will have to work with the extra of fuel-, air-, power- and exhaust pipes (i know FTD has also exhaust, but you can just went that inside of your vehicle). I can't agree with the ease of use statement. The engineering part of stormworks is more complex. ![]()
